Welcome, and thank you for your interest in serving as an Almansor Ambassador!
The Almansor Ambassadors are a diverse group of business, civic and community leaders who play an important role in helping us spread the word about the Institute for the Redesign of Learning by promoting The Almansor Center’s programs and services to individuals and families in the community who need them.
As active members of the community, Almansor Ambassadors attend Chamber of Commerce events, City Council or Commission meetings, church socials, or other community and business events or gatherings.
At these events, an Almansor Ambassador may have an opportunity to heighten the profile of the Institute, bring additional resources to Almansor programs, or help connect a child or family to the Almansor service that can best meet their needs.
The ultimate goal is to champion the Institute, whether in a formal role: in our speakers’ bureau, as a campus volunteer; or, in a more informal role.
As you get to know our organization and programs better, we hope that when you are asked, “What is The Almansor Center and what does it do?” you can confidently tell your professional and community colleagues, families and friends, or even the occasional stranger:
“Under the auspices of the Institute for the Redesign of Learning, The Almansor Center provides early intervention, educational, mental health, job placement and training, and mentoring services annually to nearly 2,000 children, youth, adults and families with learning, emotional, and developmental needs from communities throughout the San Gabriel Valley.”
